Keep it fresh

If you don't keep your site up to date, it will soon begin to look 'stale' and will therefore not be of much use to your customers or to your business. The freqency with which you update your site's content depends to a large extent on the nature of your business and the objective of your website, but it is often a good idea to include at least one feature which does change frequently if you want to encourage repeat visits.

What kind of features can you update regularly? How about advertising staff vacancies? Or a 'news' section with your latest special offers and deals? Maybe you can offer tips and tricks related to your line of work that will be of benefit to your customers - for example a 'tip of the week'. (Make sure you do update it every week though!)

If you choose a Joomla website - either template-based or tailor-made, you can very easily keep your site up-to-date yourself for free. Joomla allows you to organize your site content in sections and categories, amend your menu structure, create news flashes, blogs, banner adverts, and much more with a very simple, user-friendly interface. Alternatively, you can employ our services to keep your site up-to-date on your behalf - either with an agreed monthly fee, or a one-off fee per update - depending on your requirements.

If your requirements include having a large on-line shop, we can also supply pre-packaged e-commerce software, which will allow you to keep your catalogue up-to-date. If using such a package, it may not be necessary to use any other update tool. Alternatively, you can combine the use of Joomla with the VirtueMart e-commerce component, which will allow you to manage your site content separately from your product catalog.
